Vortrag Mythologie

Schon seit Jahrtausenden schauen Menschen zu den Sternen und fragen sich
nach ihrer Bedeutung. In vielen Kulturen entstanden daraus Geschichten, Symbole und Himmelsbilder –
frühe Formen gemeinschaftlicher Deutung, die zeigen, wie Menschen sich über Zeiten und Räume hinweg verbunden fühlten.
In der griechischen Mythologie gibt es die 12 Götter des Olymps:
Apollon, Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaistos, Hestia, Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Artemis und Athene – über den Wolken, und ihre Geschichten spiegeln sich noch heute in den Himmelskörpern wider, denn die Planeten tragen immer noch ihre Namen:
ΑΦΡΟΔΙΤΗ Aphrodite als Venus oder ΑΡΗΣ Ares als Mars.

Doch auch die Ägypter, die Mesopotamier oder die nordischen Völker entwarfen ihre eigenen Himmels-Designs:
Muster, die Orientierung gaben, Zugehörigkeit stifteten und Zukunft erzählbar machten.

Dieser Vortrag lädt ein, den Himmel als kulturelles Commons, als archaisches Designfeld und als Erzählraum für gemeinsame Zukunft zu entdecken. Lass dich inspirieren, selbst zu gestalten, neue Deutungen zu finden und die Verbindung zwischen Himmel, Mensch und demokratischer Imagination zu erkunden.

Lecture Mythology

For thousands of years, people have looked up at the stars and wondered about their meaning. Across many cultures, stories, symbols, and celestial images emerged— early forms of collective interpretation that show how humans have felt connected across time and space. In Greek mythology, there are the twelve Olympian gods: Apollon, Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaistos, Hestia, Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Artemis, and Athena—dwelling above the clouds, and their stories still echo in the heavens today, for the planets still bear their names: ΑΦΡΟΔΙΤΗ Aphrodite as Venus, or ΑΡΗΣ Ares as Mars.

Yet the Egyptians, the Mesopotamians, and the Nordic peoples also created their own celestial designs: patterns that offered orientation, fostered belonging, and made visions of the future imaginable.

This talk invites you to explore the sky as a cultural commons, as an archaic field of design, and as a narrative space for shared futures. Let yourself be inspired to create, to discover new interpretations, and to explore the connection between the cosmos, the human experience, and democratic imagination.
